The beauty of one-on-one tutoring is that it shrinks the classroom, so that students receive undivided attention and completely personalized instruction. But not all tutors are created equal.

If teaching is the art of communication, it is essential to have a tutor who knows not only the subject matter, but also how to convey it — preferably in as many ways as possible!

To that end, I consider my background as an English major at Harvard to be of the utmost importance. My love of language makes me an effective communicator — and therefore teacher — whether I’m explaining how to use the Pythagorean theorem or how to use a comma.
